Looking for a Dietitian in Jaipur? A Diet Plan Built Around the Food You Already Eat

Before you look for a dietitian in Jaipur, you have already downloaded diet charts. Maybe five of them. Maybe more. Oats and almond milk for breakfast, quinoa for lunch, grilled chicken for dinner — in a house where the kitchen makes dal, sabzi and roti for six people at 8pm.

  • Personalised — not a printed chart
  • Built around Indian vegetarian food
  • Clinical nutritionist (modern and Ayurvedic)
  • No supplements to buy

Healing without medicines

You followed it for four days. Then you ate normally and felt like you had failed.

You did not fail. The plan did. A diet that requires you to cook separately from your family, buy food you do not keep in the house, and give up everything you enjoy is not a plan — it is a test you were always going to lose.

When you look for a dietitian in Jaipur, what you actually need is someone who starts by asking what your kitchen cooks, and builds from there.

One point of honesty before you read further: dietitian is the word almost everyone searches with, and it is why it is in this page's heading. Our founder's actual qualification is clinical nutritionist — certified in modern clinical nutrition and in Ayurvedic nutrition — not a registered dietitian. We would rather you knew that in the first screen than find it in an FAQ.

What does a dietitian in Jaipur actually do differently from a free diet chart?

A free diet chart is written for nobody. A consultation with a clinical nutritionist in Jaipur starts from your blood reports, your medical conditions, your working hours, your kitchen, your budget, your food beliefs and what you genuinely like eating — and then builds a plan inside those constraints.

The plan changes when your life changes. You get follow-ups, portion guidance in household measures (katori, roti, glass — not grams), and strategies for weddings, travel, fasting days and eating out. Nothing is sold to you: no supplements, no powders, no meal-replacement products. The fee is for the thinking, not for a product.

Before the practicalities — is this you?

  • "Diet chart banwana hai, par koi practical plan chahiye" — you want a plan, not a printout
  • You have followed three or four plans and stopped each one within two weeks
  • You eat vegetarian and every plan you find assumes chicken and eggs

If any of that is yours, you are reading the right page. The fuller list is in Does this sound like you? below. What follows first is the plain practical answer: what we do about it, and what it costs.

What our diet and nutrition counselling in Jaipur involves

Here is exactly what you are paying for, before you book anything.

1 · Intake and history (45 minutes) We go through your medical history, current medication, any diagnosed condition — thyroid, diabetes, PCOS, high cholesterol, fatty liver, anaemia, IBS — your family's health pattern, your sleep, your activity level and your digestion. If you have recent blood reports, bring them. If you do not, we tell you which ones are worth getting and which are not.

2 · A real food diary, not a guess Before the plan is written, you record what you actually eat for three to seven days — including the chai, the biscuit at 5pm, the Sunday mithai. Without this, any plan is fiction. We do not judge this diary. We use it.

3 · Your plan, written for your kitchen A day-by-day structure using the food your household already cooks. Rajasthani, Marwari, North Indian, vegetarian, Jain, eggetarian, non-vegetarian — whatever applies. Portions in katoris and rotis. Meal timings that fit your actual working day, not an ideal one. Options for office lunch, hostel mess, late shifts and travel.

4 · Protein, honestly solved This is where most Indian vegetarian plans quietly fail. We work out where your protein is actually going to come from — dal and rice pairing, paneer, curd, sattu, soya, sprouts, milk, nuts — and whether you are reaching a sensible number, without telling you to buy a tub of protein powder.

5 · Correction of the gaps that matter Vitamin D, B12, iron and ferritin, calcium, zinc and magnesium are the deficiencies we see most often in Jaipur. We identify which are likely in your case, suggest the food routes first, and tell you plainly when a deficiency is low enough that it needs a doctor's prescription rather than food. We do not sell you the supplement — we tell you to get it tested and let a doctor prescribe it.

6 · Follow-up and adjustment A plan that is never revised is a chart. We review what worked, what you could not keep up, and what needs changing. Most people need two or three adjustments before the plan becomes something they stop thinking about.

7 · Referral when it is not a nutrition problem If your fatigue is an untreated thyroid issue, if your weight gain has an endocrine cause, if your symptoms suggest something that needs investigation — we say so and refer you. We are a wellness centre, not a clinic, and pretending otherwise would waste your money.

Why people choose Manorath as your dietitian in Jaipur

Our founder's actual qualification is clinical nutrition. Priyank Dadhich holds certification in both modern clinical nutrition and Ayurvedic nutrition, with a PGDYT and naturopathy training. On this particular page, that is the relevant credential — not a borrowed one.

We hold both frameworks at once. Modern nutrition gives us glycaemic load, protein quality, micronutrient bioavailability and energy balance. Ayurvedic food principles give us meal timing, food combining, seasonal eating and digestive capacity — the things that explain why two people eating the same meal feel completely different afterwards. We use whichever one answers your question, and we tell you which is which.

We sell nothing. No clinic-branded powders, no "detox" kits, no commission products. This matters more than it sounds: a nutritionist who earns from supplements has a reason to find you deficient.

We plan for one kitchen. You should not be cooking a separate meal. If your family eats together, the plan works around the same pot — your portions and timing change, not the menu.

We do not use forbidden-food lists. No page of foods you can never eat again. Mithai at a wedding, puri on a festival, your mother's halwa — these get planned for, not banned. A plan you can keep for a year beats a plan you can keep for a week.

We work with your condition, not around it. Diet counselling here connects to the rest of what we do — thyroid, diabetes, PCOS, digestion, joint pain. You are not getting a generic chart with a disclaimer.

Does this sound like you?

  • "Diet chart banwana hai, par koi practical plan chahiye" — you want a plan, not a printout
  • "Kya khaye kya na khaye, samajh nahi aata" — the advice you get is contradictory
  • You have followed three or four plans and stopped each one within two weeks
  • You eat vegetarian and every plan you find assumes chicken and eggs
  • You cannot cook separately — the house makes one meal
  • You feel heavy, sleepy and bloated an hour after lunch
  • Your energy drops hard at 4pm and you reach for chai and something sweet
  • Your hair fall has increased and you suspect it is diet
  • Your reports show low vitamin D or B12 and you were handed a tablet with no explanation
  • You have been told to "eat healthy" by a doctor with no further detail
  • You are managing thyroid, diabetes, PCOS or cholesterol and want food guidance specific to it
  • You are confused about rice, roti, ghee, sugar, fruit, fasting and intermittent eating
  • You travel or eat out often and every plan collapses the moment you do
  • You are a working parent cooking for a family and eating last, fast and badly
  • You have been sold supplements before and do not want that again
  • You want to lose weight but have been through enough crash diets to distrust them

If several of these are yours, a consultation with a dietitian will be more useful to you than another download.

Why downloaded diet charts fail — and it is not willpower

Every generic plan fails for the same five structural reasons.

It ignores your kitchen. A plan that lists food your household does not buy, cook or keep requires you to run a second kitchen. Nobody sustains that past a fortnight.

It ignores your schedule. "Dinner by 7pm" is excellent advice and impossible if you reach home at 9. A workable plan adjusts the composition of a 9pm dinner instead of pretending the timing can change.

It is built on restriction, so it has an expiry date. Restriction works briefly because novelty and motivation are high. When both fade — reliably, around day ten — there is no plan underneath. What remains is the old eating pattern plus guilt.

It has no mechanism for festivals, weddings and travel. In India, those are not exceptions; they are a steady part of the calendar. A plan with no strategy for them breaks several times a year and each break feels like failure.

It does not know your numbers. Your thyroid status, your HbA1c, your ferritin, your vitamin D, your uric acid, your lipid profile, your medication — all of these change what you should be eating. A chart written for the internet cannot know any of it.

The nutrition questions people ask us most — answered properly

Is rice bad? Should I switch to roti?

No, and usually no. Rice is a staple across most of India and removing it rarely helps by itself. What matters is the glycaemic load of the whole plate — the quantity of rice, what it is eaten with (dal, curd, sabzi, ghee, salad), and the order in which you eat it. The same rice with dal and vegetables behaves very differently in your blood sugar than rice eaten alone. Where it matters medically — diabetes, PCOS, insulin resistance — we adjust quantity, pairing and timing, not identity.

How much protein do I actually need as a vegetarian?

More than most Indian vegetarian diets provide, and it is reachable without powders. Dal alone is incomplete; dal with rice forms a complete amino acid profile, which is why the combination exists in every Indian cuisine. Add curd, paneer, milk, sprouts, sattu, soya and nuts across the day and the number is achievable. We calculate yours and then show you where each portion comes from, meal by meal.

Is ghee good or bad?

In normal Indian quantities, ghee is not the problem. The amount matters, the total fat across the day matters, and your lipid profile matters. Removing ghee while continuing to eat fried snacks and bakery items addresses nothing.

Why am I sleepy after lunch?

Usually a large, carbohydrate-dominant meal eaten quickly, often after skipping breakfast. Blood sugar rises sharply, then falls. Re-balancing the plate — more protein and fibre, same food — typically fixes it within a week or two. It is one of the fastest wins in nutrition counselling.

Does intermittent fasting work?

For some people, yes — mostly because it reduces total intake and late-night eating, not because of anything magical about the clock. It is a poor fit if you are on diabetes medication, pregnant, underweight, have a history of disordered eating, or have a demanding physical job. We will tell you honestly whether it suits you rather than recommending it by default.

Do I need a detox?

No. Your liver and kidneys do that continuously and do not require juice. Detox programmes work briefly because they are low-calorie, and the weight returns. We do not run them.

Will you make me give up sugar completely?

No. We look at where sugar is actually entering your day — sweetened chai several times, biscuits, packaged drinks, bakery items — and reduce the volume you were not noticing. Mithai at a festival is not what is affecting your reports.

I went mainly for diet and weight management advice. Instead of giving me a very strict diet chart, they asked about what I actually eat and what I can realistically follow. That made a big difference because I have been able to stay consistent.

What a dietitian in Jaipur can and cannot do

Because you have been promised things before, here is the boundary.

Nutrition can realistically:

  • Improve energy, afternoon slumps and post-meal heaviness within two to four weeks
  • Reduce bloating, acidity and irregular bowel habit, often quickly
  • Support steady, sustainable fat loss — roughly 2–4 kg a month at a healthy pace
  • Improve HbA1c and fasting sugar meaningfully alongside your doctor's treatment
  • Improve lipid profile and fatty liver markers over three to six months
  • Support thyroid and PCOS management as part of a wider plan
  • Correct mild dietary deficiencies through food
  • Improve hair and skin quality once protein and iron status improve — slowly, over months

Nutrition cannot:

  • Replace your medication. We never ask you to stop or reduce anything a doctor prescribed. That decision belongs to the prescriber.
  • Cure hypothyroidism, type 1 diabetes, or an autoimmune condition
  • Correct a severe deficiency on its own — severe anaemia or very low B12 and vitamin D need medical treatment, and we will tell you to go and get it
  • Produce 10 kg of loss in a month, and anyone promising that is selling you muscle loss and water
  • Work without your participation. We write the plan; you live it.

We will not claim to treat disease through diet, to cure anything, or to replace your doctor. We are a naturopathy and wellness centre. That is the honest frame, and it is the reason the rest of what we say can be trusted.

Diet counselling for specific conditions in Jaipur

Nutrition is rarely the only thing happening. These are the conditions we most often plan food around, each with its own page:

Weight — sustainable fat loss through food volume, protein and meal rhythm rather than crash restriction. See natural weight loss treatment in Jaipur.

Diabetes and prediabetes — glycaemic load, plate composition, meal sequencing and carbohydrate distribution across the day, alongside your prescribed treatment. See diabetes natural treatment in Jaipur.

PCOS and PCOD — insulin resistance is the lever. Food choices that reduce it affect cycles, weight and skin. See PCOD and PCOS natural treatment in Jaipur.

Thyroid — iodine, selenium, goitrogens in context, the gap between the tablet and the energy you expected. See thyroid natural treatment in Jaipur.

Digestion, acidity and IBS — fibre type, meal spacing, trigger identification and gut flora. See digestive problems natural treatment in Jaipur.

Joint pain — weight load, inflammation and vitamin D status together. See joint pain natural treatment in Jaipur.

Skin — the insulin and gut routes into acne and dullness. See skin problems natural treatment in Jaipur.

If you came here from one of those pages, the nutrition work is the same work — this page simply explains it in full.

How we work — the nutrition method at Manorath

Food first, always

Before any supplement discussion, we look at whether the nutrient can come from food. Most can. With iron, for instance, how you eat matters as much as how much — the tannins in chai taken with meals and the phytates in grains and pulses both block absorption, and fixing that pattern is often more useful than adding more iron to the plate. To be clear about the limits: a prescribed iron tablet delivers several times more absorbed iron than any meal can, so if your ferritin is genuinely low, food supports the treatment rather than replacing it — see a doctor for the prescription.

Household measures, not grams

Nobody weighs food for a year. We work in katoris, rotis, glasses and spoons, calibrated to your own vessels during the consultation. This single change is why our plans survive past the first month.

One kitchen, different plates

You eat what the house cooks. Your proportions change — more sabzi, measured rice, curd added, the sequence altered. Your family does not need to eat differently for you to.

Nutrient density over calorie counting

We would rather you improve the quality and composition of a meal than count it. Calorie counting works for some people and becomes an obsession for others; we do not impose it by default.

Ayurvedic timing, modern composition

What is on the plate we decide with modern nutrition. When and how you eat it draws on Ayurvedic principle — the largest meal when digestive capacity is highest, lighter at night, warm food over cold, not eating when the previous meal has not cleared. These are not in conflict, and we say openly which framework a particular piece of advice comes from.

Adjustment is the method

The first plan is a hypothesis. The follow-up is where it becomes a plan. If you could not keep something up, that is information about the plan, not about you.

What happens in your diet consultation in Jaipur

Before: You register (₹500) and we send you a short intake form and the food diary format. Bring any reports from the last six months — thyroid profile, HbA1c or fasting sugar, lipid profile, CBC, vitamin D, B12, ferritin, liver and kidney function if you have them. If you have none, come anyway; we will tell you what is worth testing.

The 45 minutes: History, medication, your diary, your kitchen, your schedule, your food beliefs and restrictions, your budget, what you actually enjoy. We will ask what previous plans you tried and exactly where each one broke — that is the most useful part of the conversation.

After: Your written plan, with portions in household measures, options for each meal, an eating-out strategy and a plan for the next festival or trip on your calendar.

Follow-up: We review, adjust, and keep adjusting until the plan runs without you thinking about it.

Online: Consultation over video in Hindi or English, with the same plan and follow-up, if you are outside Jaipur or cannot travel. Deposit is ₹500 instead of ₹1,000.

Who you will work with

Founder and clinical nutritionist — Priyank Dadhich. Certification in modern clinical nutrition and Ayurvedic nutrition; PGDYT; naturopathy and yoga therapy training. Leads the nutrition consultations.

Nutrition and lifestyle support — follow-ups, plan adjustment and food diary review.

Yoga and movement — where activity needs to be built alongside the plan.

We are not doctors and we do not describe ourselves as doctors. We are a wellness centre: naturopathy, yoga, nutrition and consultation. Where you need medical treatment, we refer you.

How long does a diet plan take to work? An honest timeline

TimeWhat usually changes
Week 1–2Post-meal heaviness and the afternoon slump ease; bloating reduces; you stop feeling hungry at odd hours
Week 3–4Energy steadier through the day; sleep improves; cravings quieten; first visible change on the scale if weight is a goal
Month 2Clothes fit differently; digestion regular; the plan stops feeling like effort
Month 3Repeat reports often show movement — HbA1c, lipids, ferritin, vitamin D
Month 4–6Hair and skin quality improve; the plan is now simply how you eat

Fat loss at a healthy rate is roughly 2–4 kg per month, and it is not linear — plateaus of two or three weeks are normal and are not a sign that the plan has stopped working. Anyone promising faster is promising muscle and water.

Dietitian in Jaipur — your questions answered

Who is the best dietitian in Jaipur?

Judge on method rather than ranking. Ask three questions before you pay anyone: do you build the plan from my own reports and food diary, or from a template? Do you sell supplements or products? And do I get follow-ups where the plan is revised? At Manorath the answers are: from your reports and diary, nothing is sold, and revision is part of the method.

How much does a dietitian in Jaipur charge for a consultation?

₹500 registration, then a ₹1,000 deposit for an in-person first consultation or ₹500 online. Sessions after that are around ₹2,000 each depending on what your plan needs. There are no product costs because we do not sell products.

What is the difference between a dietitian and a clinical nutritionist?

In India the terms overlap in everyday use. "Dietitian" is the word most people search for; "clinical nutritionist" describes someone trained to plan nutrition around medical conditions and reports. Our founder's certification is in clinical nutrition — modern and Ayurvedic. We are a wellness centre, not a hospital department, and we refer you to a doctor where medical treatment is needed.

Can I get a personalised diet plan in Jaipur that works with Indian vegetarian food?

That is the default here, not an adjustment. Rajasthani, Marwari and North Indian vegetarian cooking is what most of our plans are built from. Jain requirements, no-onion-garlic households, eggetarian and non-vegetarian plans are all handled.

Can I consult a dietitian in Jaipur online?

Yes. Video consultation in Hindi or English, the written plan and the follow-ups all work remotely. The online first-consultation deposit is ₹500.

Do I have to buy supplements or protein powder?

No. We sell nothing. If a blood report shows a deficiency low enough to need treatment, we tell you to see a doctor for a prescription — we do not supply it and we earn nothing from it.

Will I be put on a boring restrictive diet?

No. We do not write forbidden-food lists. The plan is built from food you already eat and already like, because that is the only kind of plan people keep. Festivals, weddings and travel are planned for in advance.

Do I need to cook separately from my family?

No, and we specifically design against it. Your household cooks one meal; your portions, pairings and timing change within it.

What reports should I bring to a nutrition consultation?

If you have them from the last six months: thyroid profile, HbA1c or fasting sugar, lipid profile, CBC, vitamin D, B12, ferritin, and liver and kidney function. If you have none, come anyway — we will tell you which few are actually worth getting for your case.

How many kilos can I lose in a month with a diet plan?

Around 2–4 kg at a healthy, sustainable rate, and not evenly spread. Faster than that generally means muscle and water loss, which lowers your metabolic rate and makes the weight come back. We will not promise you more.

Kya khaye kya na khaye — I get contradictory advice everywhere. How do you decide?

By your reports and your response, not by trends. Where modern nutrition and Ayurvedic principle disagree on something, we tell you which framework a piece of advice comes from and why we chose it for your case. You should always be able to ask "why" and get a reason.

Is rice really the reason I am gaining weight?

Almost never on its own. Total intake, plate composition, oil quantity, snacking, sleep and activity matter more. We adjust rice quantity and pairing where it is medically relevant, rather than removing a staple from your diet.

Can diet counselling help with my thyroid or PCOS?

It helps as part of management, not as a replacement for treatment. For PCOS, food that reduces insulin resistance affects cycles, weight and skin meaningfully. For thyroid, nutrition supports energy and weight while you continue your prescribed medication — which we never ask you to change.

I have tried several diet plans and stopped all of them. Why would this be different?

Because we start by asking exactly where each previous plan broke, and design around that. If the plan required separate cooking, it will not this time. If it banned everything you enjoy, it will not. If nobody followed up when it stopped working, we will.

Do you give a printed diet chart?

You get a written plan, but it is not the deliverable — the follow-up adjustment is. A chart with no revision is the thing that has already failed you.

Is there a refund if I do not follow the plan?

No. We do not have a refund policy, and we would rather you know that before registering than after. The fee covers the consultation time and the plan written for you.

Do you counsel children or teenagers on diet?

Only with a parent present and involved, and only for general nutrition and growth. We do not put minors on weight-loss plans.

Can I consult if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Nutrition in pregnancy should be led by your treating obstetrician. We can support general food quality alongside that, but we will not override medical advice given to you in pregnancy.
