This page explains what our naturopathy centre in Jaipur actually does, what the mechanism is, where the evidence is strong, and where it is not. If you are considering this and will have to explain the decision to your family, this page is written so you can.

What is naturopathy and does it actually work?

Naturopathy is a drug-free approach that works on the conditions the body needs in order to repair itself — nutrition, sleep, movement, breathing, water, elimination and stress load. Its strongest components are the ones with substantial scientific backing: nutrition, exercise, sleep correction, breath training and stress reduction.

It works well for lifestyle-driven chronic conditions. It is not a substitute for medical treatment in acute illness, infection, or any condition requiring medication or surgery.

Before the practicalities — is this you?

  • "My reports keep getting worse and the dose keeps going up"
  • "I have been told to lose weight and exercise, but nobody told me how"
  • "I don't want to be on tablets for the rest of my life"

If any of that is yours, you are reading the right page. The fuller list is in Who comes to a naturopathy centre in Jaipur below. What follows first is the plain practical answer: what we do about it, and what it costs.

What treatment at our naturopathy centre in Jaipur involves

A drug-free programme built on the six levers that genuinely change physiology.

  • Diet therapy — the main intervention. Personalised, Indian, and built around your household's cooking.
  • Hydrotherapy — hot and cold applications, compresses, steam and local baths, for pain, inflammation and circulation.
  • Mud therapy — local application for inflammation and skin conditions, abdominal packs for digestive symptoms.
  • Yoga therapy and pranayama, sequenced for your condition with contraindications respected.
  • Supervised fasting or eating-window protocols where appropriate — and not for everyone.
  • Sleep protocol and stress reduction — fixed wake time, light exposure, breathwork.
  • Massage and acupressure for musculoskeletal pain.

Why people choose Manorath as their naturopathy centre in Jaipur

  • No medicines of any kind. Not allopathic, not herbal, not supplements. Nothing is prescribed or sold here.
  • We tell you where naturopathy does not work. Infection, fractures, cancer, type 1 diabetes, anything needing surgery — we refer you to a doctor rather than taking the case.
  • Mind and body treated as one case. Cortisol is an input to every metabolic system we work on, so stress is part of the physical plan, not a separate service.
  • Clinical nutrition covering both modern and Ayurvedic nutrition — our founder is certified in both, and we use both deliberately.
  • Personalised, not a package. Your plan starts with three or four changes, not thirty.
  • Hindi or English, online or at the centre. Street-level entrance, parking available.

Who comes to a naturopathy centre in Jaipur

Naturopathy tends to suit people who arrive saying:

  • "My reports keep getting worse and the dose keeps going up"
  • "I have been told to lose weight and exercise, but nobody told me how"
  • "I don't want to be on tablets for the rest of my life"
  • "My reports are normal but I don't feel well"
  • "I want to understand why this started, not just control the number"
  • "I have three different conditions and four different doctors"
  • "I am worried about what these painkillers are doing to my stomach and kidneys"

How naturopathy treatment works — the six mechanisms

Six levers. Each one has a real physiological effect, and each is something we can change.

1. Nutrition

The most powerful lever for metabolic conditions. The mechanism is not mysterious: glycaemic load determines how sharply blood glucose rises after a meal, which determines the insulin response, which over years determines insulin resistance. Fibre slows glucose absorption. Protein supports muscle, and muscle is the main site of glucose disposal. Short chain fatty acids produced by gut bacteria from fibre reduce inflammation.

Practically, this means food order, meal timing, protein adequacy and fibre matter as much as what is on the plate. Eating vegetables and dal before rice lowers the glucose spike from the identical meal. Our clinical nutrition work covers both modern nutrition and Ayurvedic nutrition.

2. Movement

Contracting muscle takes up glucose through a pathway that does not require insulin at all. That is why a ten-minute walk after a meal lowers post-meal blood sugar measurably. Resistance training builds the muscle mass that stores glucose long-term. Movement also lowers circulating stress hormones and improves sleep quality.

3. Sleep

One week of restricted sleep worsens insulin sensitivity in healthy young people. Sleep deprivation raises ghrelin and lowers leptin, which drives carbohydrate craving. It raises cortisol, impairs emotional regulation, and reduces pain tolerance. Circadian rhythm — the body's internal clock — governs hormone release, digestion and body temperature; disturbing it disturbs all three.

This is why sleep correction is often the first thing we change. Almost nothing else works reliably while sleep is broken. Sleep problems.

4. Breath

The one lever you can operate manually. Slow breathing with a long exhale stimulates the vagus nerve, shifting you from sympathetic towards parasympathetic dominance. This lowers heart rate, reduces blood pressure, improves heart rate variability and allows digestion to resume normal function.

Fast shallow breathing does the opposite, and chronic over-breathing lowers blood carbon dioxide enough to cause dizziness, tingling and chest tightness — symptoms people regularly attribute to the heart. Breath training is not relaxation theatre; it is direct manual control over the autonomic nervous system.

5. Water and elimination

Hydrotherapy — alternating hot and cold application — produces local vasodilation and vasoconstriction, which changes blood flow to a region, reduces inflammatory swelling and relieves pain. This is the same mechanism behind contrast therapy in sports medicine. Adequate hydration supports kidney function and bowel regularity. Fibre and fluid together govern elimination.

6. Stress load

The input to cortisol, and cortisol touches blood sugar, abdominal fat, immunity, sleep, digestion and thyroid conversion. Reducing stress load is not a soft add-on to the metabolic work — it is part of it. Our mental health work sits alongside the physical for exactly this reason.

The part other centres leave out

What our naturopathy centre in Jaipur can and cannot do

Most pages like this open with "the body has the power to heal itself". That is true but useless on its own, because it explains nothing.

So here is the actual claim, stated plainly:

Naturopathy does not treat your disease. It changes the conditions your body is operating under, so that the body's own repair processes can work properly.

That is a narrower claim than "nature cure heals everything", and it is a much more defensible one. It is also why naturopathy performs well on some things and poorly on others — and we would rather tell you which is which before you pay us.

Where it works well

Conditions driven by how a person lives. Type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance. Obesity and weight. Acidity, IBS and digestive problems. Joint pain. Migraine. Insomnia. PCOS. Hypertension. Stress-driven illness. Many skin conditions. Thyroid symptom management.

Where it does not

Acute infection. Anything needing antibiotics. Fractures. Appendicitis. Cancer. Type 1 diabetes. Heart attack or stroke. Severe psychiatric illness. Anything needing surgery.

If you come to us with something in the second list, we will tell you and send you to a doctor. That is not us being modest — a naturopathy centre that takes on an infection is dangerous, and a centre that tells you to stop your insulin is dangerous.

Naturopathy vs Ayurveda — what is the difference?

People use these interchangeably and they are not the same.

Naturopathy works through the body's own repair mechanisms using nutrition, water, movement, breath, sunlight and rest. It is drug-free by definition.

Ayurveda is a complete traditional system with its own diagnostic framework — dosha, prakriti, agni — and classical Ayurveda includes herbal medicines prescribed by a BAMS practitioner.

What we do: naturopathy as our main method, plus Ayurvedic principles applied as nutrition and routine — constitution, digestive capacity, daily rhythm, seasonal eating. We do not dispense herbal medicines, because that requires a BAMS practitioner and we do not have one. If you came looking for herbal prescriptions, we would rather tell you now than after you have paid. More on our Ayurvedic approach.

Then an honest assessment. What we think is driving your condition, which levers will matter most for you, what is realistic, and whether you need a doctor rather than us.

Sessions. Typically around ₹2,000, personalised. Number depends on your condition.

Bring: recent reports, and a list of all medicines and anything you are taking without a prescription.

Registration and deposit are non-refundable.

Who you will work with at our naturopathy centre

Priyank Dadhich — founder. PGDYT (Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy), naturopathy student, clinical nutritionist certified in both modern nutrition and Ayurvedic nutrition.

Priyank Dadhich, founder — PGDYT (Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy), trained in naturopathy, clinical nutritionist. He has led the work at Manorath Wellness since the centre opened in 2022 — more than 4 years of solution-oriented practice in Jaipur.

A female psychologist and counsellor is available for online consultation. Mention it when you book and your sessions are arranged with her.

We are not doctors and we do not describe ourselves as such. We are a wellness centre: yoga therapists, clinical nutritionists and counsellors.

What our naturopathy centre in Jaipur realistically achieves

Weeks 2 to 4: sleep, energy and digestion usually move first.

Weeks 6 to 12: readings start to shift — blood sugar, weight, blood pressure, pain levels, cycle regularity.

Three months plus: HbA1c covers about three months of blood sugar, weighted to the most recent weeks, so it often moves from six to eight weeks onward. Hormonal cycles take two to three months to re-regulate. Joint and muscle adaptation builds over months.

What it needs from you: consistency on ordinary days. Naturopathy asks more of the patient than medicine does, because the treatment is the daily behaviour. If you want something that works without you changing anything, this honestly is not it.

What we do not claim: no cures. No reversal on a schedule. No promise you will come off medication — and we will never suggest reducing a dose, because that decision belongs solely to your prescribing doctor.

When we refer you out, immediately: chest pain, breathlessness at rest, sudden weakness or numbness on one side, unexplained weight loss, blood in stool, difficulty swallowing, persistent vomiting, a sudden severe headache, high fever, bladder or bowel changes with back pain, or any first-time episode you have not had checked.

Naturopathy centre in Jaipur — your questions answered

Jaipur me prakritik chikitsa kendra kahan hai — bina dawai ilaj hota hai kya?

Haan. Prakritik chikitsa kendra Jaipur mein hamara centre Mansarovar, Narayan Vihar mein hai. Bina dawai ilaj ka matlab hai: khaanpaan, paani ka upyog, yoga, saans, neend aur dhoop — koi tablet nahi, koi churna nahi, koi supplement nahi bikta. Sugar, weight, acidity, purani dard, neend, stress mein ye kaafi asar karta hai. Infection, thyroid ki dawai, operation jaisi cheezon mein doctor hi chahiye — aur wo hum saaf bata dete hain.

Is naturopathy scientific or is it just belief?

In parts, substantially. Nutrition, exercise, sleep correction, breath training and stress reduction all have a large evidence base, and those make up most of what we actually do. Some traditional naturopathic practices have much weaker evidence, and we are straightforward about that rather than claiming everything is proven. Your plan is built on the parts that hold up.

Does a naturopathy centre give medicines or herbs?

No. Nothing is prescribed, dispensed or sold here. If you need medication, that is a doctor's job and we will refer you.

Do I stop my current medicines during naturopathy treatment?

No. Never stop or reduce prescribed medication on your own — that is your doctor's decision alone. We work alongside your treatment. If your readings improve and your doctor chooses to reduce a dose, that is the right way for it to happen.

What is the difference between naturopathy and Ayurveda?

Ayurveda has its own diagnostic system and includes herbal medicines prescribed by a BAMS practitioner. Naturopathy is drug-free and works through nutrition, water, movement, breath and rest. We practise naturopathy and apply Ayurvedic principles as nutrition and routine. We do not dispense herbal medicines. More detail.

Is naturopathy treatment slower than allopathic medicine?

For symptom relief, usually yes — a painkiller works in an hour and a diet change does not. For the underlying cause, it is often the only thing working on it at all. Most people continue their medication while we work on the cause, which is exactly how it should go.

Will naturopathy treatment involve water fasting?

Only if it is appropriate for you, supervised, and agreed with you first. It is not suitable for people who are underweight, pregnant, on insulin or certain diabetes medicines, or who have a history of disordered eating. Most people's plans involve no fasting at all.

How much does treatment at your naturopathy centre in Jaipur cost?

₹500 registration, then ₹1,000 deposit in person or ₹500 online for the first consultation. Sessions after that are typically around ₹2,000 each, personalised to your plan. We cannot quote a total before assessing you, and anyone who does is guessing. All of it is non-refundable.

Where is your naturopathy centre in Jaipur located?

Narayan Vihar, Mansarovar, Jaipur. Easily reached from Nirman Nagar, Sodala, Vaishali Nagar and Ajmer Road. Street-level entrance, parking available.

Can I get online naturopathy consultation from outside Jaipur?

Yes, including for people outside Jaipur. In person is better for the first consultation where possible, since some assessment is easier face to face.

Which language are naturopathy consultations conducted in?

Hindi or English, whichever you prefer.

Is naturopathy treatment suitable for elderly people?

Yes, and a large part of our work is with people over 50. Movement is modified for stiffness, joint replacements and balance. Chair-based options exist.

Can children come to a naturopathy centre?

For nutrition and yoga, yes. For counselling, 18 and over — or under 18 with parental consent and involvement.
