Yoga Classes in Jaipur — For Stiff Beginners, Not Just Flexible People
Most people who ring us about yoga classes in Jaipur ask the same question before anything else, usually apologetically:
"Mujhse hoga nahi — main bahut stiff hoon. Kya main kar paungi?"
Yes. That is who classes are for. The person who cannot touch their toes, whose knees click, who has not exercised since school, who is forty-five and carrying a bad back. Flexible people do not need a teacher — they need a room. You need someone watching your knees.

Nobody is asked to do a posture their body is not ready for. You will not be put at the back of a room and left to copy someone. Props, chairs, walls and modified versions exist for exactly this reason.
Can a complete beginner join yoga classes in Jaipur?
Yes — most of our beginners have never done yoga before and arrive stiff. You start with breath, joint mobility and simple standing and seated work, not with headstands. Every posture has an easier version, and chair yoga exists for anyone who cannot get up and down from the floor.
Seniors, pregnant women (with gynaecologist clearance), people with back pain, knee pain, cervical pain, diabetes or thyroid issues all practise here with modifications. Classes run in small groups, one-to-one, at your home, at your office, or online in Hindi or English. Sessions are 45 minutes; a first consultation may run up to an hour.
Before the practicalities — is this you?
- "Main bahut stiff hoon, mujhse nahi hoga" — you are convinced your body cannot do this
- You sit at a desk for nine hours and your neck and shoulders have stopped forgiving you
- You cannot get up and down from the floor easily any more
If any of that is yours, you are reading the right page. The fuller list is in Does this sound like you? below. What follows first is the plain practical answer: the formats, and what they cost.
What our yoga classes in Jaipur include
We run six formats, because the right class depends on who you are and what you are carrying.
1 · Group classes at the centre Small batches so you are actually seen and corrected. Morning and evening timings. Mixed-level, with the teacher giving you the version of each posture your body can do today. Hatha-based: asana, pranayama, surya namaskar at a pace you can hold, closing with shavasana.
2 · One-to-one personal yoga If you have a specific condition, an injury, a disc problem, post-surgery restrictions, or you simply do not want to practise in front of others. The whole 45 minutes is built around your body.
3 · Yoga therapy for a condition Sequencing designed for one problem rather than general fitness — cervical pain, lower back pain, sciatica, knee pain, thyroid, PCOS, diabetes, asthma, digestion, insomnia, anxiety. This is where yoga stops being exercise and becomes a targeted intervention. If you came here from one of our condition pages, this is the format meant for you.
4 · Prenatal and postnatal yoga Pregnancy-safe sequencing by trimester, with your gynaecologist's clearance first — we ask for it and we will not start without it. Breath work for labour, pelvic and hip opening, safe strengthening, and what to avoid entirely. Postnatal work restarts gently with core and pelvic floor.
5 · Chair yoga and senior sessions For anyone who cannot get down to a mat or back up from it — knee replacements, arthritis, balance problems, age, obesity, recovery. Everything is done seated or with a chair for support. Balance and fall prevention is a real goal here, not a token one.
6 · Home visits and corporate yoga A teacher comes to your home in Jaipur, or to your office for group corporate sessions — desk-posture work, neck and shoulder release, breathing for stress, something your team can actually do in work clothes. Family and parental group sessions at home also run on request.
7 · Online yoga classes in Hindi and English Live sessions over video with real-time correction, not a recorded video. For people outside Jaipur, people who travel, and people who will simply never make it to a centre at 6am.

Why people choose Manorath for yoga classes in Jaipur
We teach the body in front of us. A room of fifteen people has fifteen different spines. Correction, modification and props are the job — not getting everyone into the same shape.
Our teaching comes from yoga therapy, not fitness. Our founder's training is PGDYT with naturopathy and clinical nutrition. That means a sequence for your cervical pain is chosen for a reason, and we can tell you the reason.
No performance culture. No advanced-posture photos on the wall, no comparison, no competing with the person on the next mat. The person who comes in stiffest usually improves fastest, and that is the only progress we care about.
We ask about your body before you start. Disc issues, blood pressure, pregnancy, recent surgery, glaucoma, vertigo, knee replacement — these change what you should and should not do. We ask, and we adjust. A class that does not ask is not safe.
We will tell you what not to do. Full forward bends with an acute disc problem. Kapalbhati and bhastrika with uncontrolled asthma, during pregnancy, or with high blood pressure. Headstands with a cervical issue. Deep twists after abdominal surgery. A teacher who says "do what you can" without naming the risks is not protecting you.
Yoga sits inside a wider programme. If your back pain also needs nutrition, sleep and stress work, you are already in the right place — yoga is one of the three pillars here, not the whole offer.
Does this sound like you?
- "Main bahut stiff hoon, mujhse nahi hoga" — you are convinced your body cannot do this
- "Yoga class Jaipur me koi acha hai?" — you want a teacher, not a gym
- You sit at a desk for nine hours and your neck and shoulders have stopped forgiving you
- Your lower back hurts by evening every single day
- You tried a YouTube video, felt something twinge, and stopped
- You are over sixty and have been told to "stay active" with no idea how
- You cannot get up and down from the floor easily any more
- You are pregnant and want to move safely but every video terrifies you
- A doctor said exercise would help your diabetes, thyroid, PCOS or blood pressure
- You want to lose weight but your knees cannot take walking or the gym
- You sleep badly and your mind will not switch off at night
- You want someone to come home because the traffic makes classes impossible
- Your office wants a wellness session that is not just a lecture
- "Ghar par yoga sikhane wale koi hain?" — you want home tuition for yoga
Any of these is a reason to start. None of them is a reason you cannot.
What yoga actually does to your body — the mechanism
This is not mystical, and knowing the mechanism makes you practise better.
Flexibility is mostly nervous-system permission
When you stretch, the limit you hit first is usually not your muscle length — it is your nervous system's protective reflex deciding that is far enough. Regular, unforced practice raises that threshold. This is why you gain range quickly in the first weeks without your tissues having physically changed much, and why forcing a stretch backfires: pain triggers the guarding reflex harder.
Breath is a direct line to your nervous system
Slow, extended exhalation stimulates the vagus nerve and shifts you from sympathetic (alert, braced) toward parasympathetic (digest, repair). This is measurable as improved heart rate variability and better vagal tone. It is the reason a class can leave you calmer than a walk does, and the reason pranayama is not optional padding at the end.
Strength and proprioception prevent the next injury
Holding a standing posture builds core strength and proprioception — your body's sense of where it is in space. For a senior, this is literally fall prevention. For your lower back, it is the deep stabilising support that no painkiller provides. Weight-bearing postures also load bone, which matters for bone density after forty-five and after menopause.
Alignment is why your pain keeps returning
Nine hours of forward-head, rounded-shoulder desk posture shortens some muscles and switches others off. The pain you feel is the result, not the cause. Yoga works by reopening the shortened side and waking the switched-off side — which is why the relief lasts in a way a massage does not.
Breath-movement coupling is what makes it yoga
Moving with breath rather than through it is the difference between yoga and stretching. It is also the part that produces the mental quiet people did not expect to get.

What people in Jaipur say
In their own words — hover or tap a review to pause it.
I got my 66-year-old father to join the online sessions. He started with simple chair-based practices. After two months, his morning stiffness has reduced and he has become more active at home.
I joined the yoga classes mainly because of back and joint stiffness, but I ended up enjoying the whole routine. The teacher was patient and explained which movements I should do comfortably. I don't feel like I am forcing my body anymore.
Manorath Wellness Center changed my life! I took online yoga classes from here. The trainer was very kind and helpful. They not only taught yoga but also helped me understand life better. Now I feel stress-free and happy. My mind is calm and clear. I feel more energy every day. If you want peace and clear thinking, this place is perfect.
Priyank Ji is my mental heath counsellor , he is very humble and listen you very gently. Lots of my emotional trauma and stress released by her with help of yoga and other therapies. I feel safe and non judgemental while talk to him.
I had been struggling with sleep for quite some time. What I liked here was that they first tried to understand my daily routine instead of simply suggesting something. The changes were simple and practical, and my sleep routine has become much better.
The whole team is really supportive, especially Priyank Sir. In the beginning, I was unsure whether these small steps would actually help me, but with time I started noticing a real difference. The overall environment feels very positive and peaceful. Their therapies and guidance have helped me a lot with my pain and well-being.
Mujhe anxiety ke time par bahut restless feel hota tha, especially when I had too many things going on at once. Sessions mein breathing aur other practices ko daily routine ka part banana sikhaya. Ab stressful situations mein pehle se kaafi calmly respond karti hoon.
Can’t explain in words how much selfless efforts they do for people with genuine care. Everyone should visit this place at least once to experience a deep connection with their inner self and the Divine, and to gain a new perspective on life.
PCOD ke saath weight aur periods dono ko lekar kaafi frustration thi. Yahan mujhe diet, yoga aur daily routine ko ek saath manage karne ka practical approach mila. Sab kuch ekdum overnight change nahi hua, but I feel I am finally working on the right things.
Best place for peace! I was very stressed in life. Nothing made me happy. Then I came to Manorath Wellness Center. The team helped me so much. They talked to me nicely and gave me good support. Now I feel calm and happy from inside. This place is full of good people. 😊
I had never tried meditation properly before. Initially it was difficult to sit quietly even for a few minutes, but the guided sessions made it much easier. I now use some of the breathing and meditation techniques even on busy workdays.
They saved me! I was feeling very low. I had no energy to do anything. But after getting help …
Meri mother ko knee pain ki wajah se daily activities mein discomfort hota tha. Consultation ke baad unhe exercises aur routine ke baare mein properly guide kiya gaya. The best part was that nobody rushed her or made her feel uncomfortable during the sessions.
I went mainly for diet and weight management advice. Instead of giving me a very strict diet chart, they asked about what I actually eat and what I can realistically follow. That made a big difference because I have been able to stay consistent.
I was really worried about my overthinking and stress, so I started classes with Manorath Wellness. There, I joined yoga classes along with wellness counseling. Honestly, it helped me a lot, and now I'm able to handle my stress better. ❤️
I was quite hesitant about counselling because I had never spoken openly about some personal issues. The sessions felt private and comfortable, and I never felt pushed to say something before I was ready. That made it much easier for me to continue.
I am feeling very good after joining yoga.
Ayurvedic treatment was a new experience for me, so I had quite a few questions in the beginning. The doctor explained everything patiently and also discussed my routine and food habits. I liked that the approach was personalised rather than just giving general advice.
The naturopathy sessions were quite different from what I expected. I was given guidance around food, daily habits and natural therapies, and the team kept checking how I was feeling. Overall, it was a very calm and positive experience.
Work stress had started affecting my mood, sleep and even my weekends. I joined the wellness program to bring some structure back into my routine. The combination of yoga, breathing and lifestyle guidance has helped me become more mindful about how I spend my day.
The part other centres leave out
What yoga classes in Jaipur can and cannot do
Realistically, with regular practice:
- Stiffness and range of movement improve noticeably in 2–4 weeks
- Desk-related neck and shoulder pain eases within 3–6 weeks
- Sleep quality often improves within the first two weeks
- Lower back pain reduces over 6–12 weeks as core support builds
- Balance and confidence on your feet improve for seniors within 4–8 weeks
- Stress reactivity drops — you notice you react less, usually around week three
- Blood sugar response, blood pressure and weight improve as part of a wider plan
Yoga cannot:
- Replace medication. We never ask you to stop or reduce anything prescribed to you.
- Repair a structural problem — a torn meniscus, a severe prolapsed disc, a fracture. Yoga can support the body around it, with medical clearance.
- Reverse hypothyroidism, type 1 diabetes or an autoimmune condition
- Work at one class a week with nothing in between. Consistency is the active ingredient.
We will not claim that yoga cures disease. It changes how your body functions, and that is a real, defensible claim worth more than an exaggerated one.
How our yoga classes in Jaipur work
Step 1 — A short intake before your first class. Age, any diagnosed condition, medication, surgeries, pregnancy, blood pressure, injuries, and what you want from this. Five minutes that decide whether your first class helps you or hurts you.
Step 2 — Your format. Group, one-to-one, therapy, prenatal, chair, home visit, corporate or online. We will say honestly which one fits — and if a group class is not right for your back yet, we will tell you to start one-to-one.
Step 3 — Weeks 1–2: foundation. Joint mobility, breath, basic standing and seated postures, shavasana. Your job is to turn up, not to perform.
Step 4 — Weeks 3–8: building. Sequences lengthen, strength work enters, pranayama becomes structured. This is where stiffness measurably changes.
Step 5 — Beyond: your own practice. The goal is that you can practise without us. We give you a short home sequence early, because fifteen minutes daily beats one brilliant class a week.
Step 6 — Review. What hurts, what has eased, what you have been skipping. Sequences change accordingly.
Your first yoga class in Jaipur — what to expect
Come on an empty stomach, or at least two to three hours after a meal. Water before and after is fine; a heavy breakfast is not. One exception: if you take insulin or diabetes tablets, do not come fasted without telling us — exercising on an empty stomach on those medicines can drop your blood sugar. Have something light, carry glucose, and we will plan your timing with you.
What to wear: anything loose you can move and bend in — a kurta and salwar, track pants and a t-shirt. No special clothing needed. Bare feet.
What to bring: nothing. Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and chairs are here. Bring your own mat if you prefer.
The 45 minutes: settling and breath awareness, joint mobility, standing work, seated and floor work, pranayama, shavasana. You will be told at least twice that you can stop and rest at any point. Taking that option is not failing the class.
Afterwards: mild muscle awareness the next day is normal and usually welcome. Sharp or joint pain is not — tell us, and the sequence changes.
Online: live video in Hindi or English with real-time correction. Clear floor space about the size of a mat, and a camera angle where we can see your whole body.
Who you will work with
Founder — Priyank Dadhich. PGDYT, naturopathy and yoga therapy training, clinical nutritionist (modern and Ayurvedic nutrition). Leads yoga therapy and condition-specific sequencing.
Yoga teacher — group batches, beginners, seniors and chair yoga.
Prenatal and women's yoga — pregnancy and postnatal sessions.
Meditation and breathwork — pranayama, yoga nidra and dhyan sessions.
A female teacher is available for women who would prefer one, including for prenatal and home sessions. We are a wellness centre: yoga, dhyan, naturopathy and consultation. We are not doctors, we do not prescribe medicine, and where you need medical care we refer you.
When you need medical clearance first
Please tell us, and get your doctor's clearance, if you have: pregnancy (gynaecologist clearance is required, not optional), uncontrolled high blood pressure, a recent heart event or cardiac condition, recent surgery including abdominal or eye surgery, glaucoma or retinal problems, severe osteoporosis, an acute disc prolapse with radiating pain or numbness, vertigo, epilepsy, or a joint replacement.
None of these mean you cannot practise. They mean the sequence must be built around them, and some specific practices must be avoided entirely.
How long do yoga classes in Jaipur take to show results? An honest timeline
| Time | What usually changes |
|---|---|
| Class 1–3 | You realise you can do more than you thought; you sleep better that night |
| Week 2 | Morning stiffness reduces; breathing feels easier |
| Week 4 | Visible range gain; desk-related neck and shoulder pain eases |
| Week 6–8 | Core support noticeable; back pain episodes shorter and less frequent |
| Month 3 | Strength, balance and stamina changed; practice is now a habit, not a plan |
| Month 6 | People who stay this long rarely stop — this is where it stops being effort |
Yoga classes in Jaipur — your questions answered
Where can I find yoga classes near me in Jaipur?
Our centre is in Jaipur with morning and evening group batches, and we also run home visits across the city, so proximity is solvable even if the centre is not around your corner. Online live classes in Hindi and English cover anyone outside Jaipur or in nearby cities. Message us with your area and we will tell you the closest option.
How much do yoga classes in Jaipur cost at your centre?
₹500 registration books your slot. First session deposit is ₹1,000 at the centre or ₹500 online. Sessions after that are around ₹2,000 each depending on the format — group classes work out lower on a monthly batch, one-to-one and home visits higher. Message us for current batch rates.
Can I get yoga classes in Jaipur online instead of visiting?
Yes — live video sessions in Hindi or English with real-time correction. Not recordings. You need a mat-sized clear space and a camera angle where the teacher can see your whole body.
Can I join yoga classes in Jaipur as a complete beginner?
Yes, and most people who join are. Beginners start with breath, joint mobility and simple postures. You will not be asked to do anything you are not ready for, and there is a modified version of everything.
I am very stiff and cannot touch my toes. Can I still do yoga?
Yes. Touching your toes is not a prerequisite — it is a possible outcome. Stiffness means you will feel progress faster than a flexible person, because you have more range to gain.
Is yoga safe during pregnancy?
Prenatal yoga is safe and useful when it is sequenced for your trimester and your gynaecologist has cleared you. We ask for that clearance and will not begin without it. Certain practices — strong abdominal work, deep twists, kapalbhati, bhastrika, breath retention, prone postures, hot environments, inversions — are avoided entirely.
Do you have yoga classes at home in Jaipur?
Yes. A teacher comes to your home — useful for seniors, post-surgery recovery, pregnancy, family groups and anyone who cannot travel. A female teacher is available on request.
Do you do corporate yoga sessions for offices in Jaipur?
Yes. Group sessions at your office, built around desk posture — neck, shoulders, lower back, eyes and breathing for stress. Doable in work clothes, no mats required if space is limited.
Can yoga help with back pain and neck pain?
Yes, and for desk-related pain it is one of the most effective things available, because it addresses the posture causing it rather than the pain alone. Core support and shoulder blade control typically reduce episodes within 6–12 weeks. Acute disc problems with radiating pain or numbness need a doctor first — we will tell you that rather than starting you.
Are yoga classes suitable for senior citizens?
Very. We run chair yoga and seated sequences for anyone who cannot get down to or up from the floor. Balance and fall prevention is a genuine goal for seniors, and strength and confidence usually change within 4–8 weeks.
Can yoga cure diabetes, thyroid or blood pressure?
No, and we will not say it does. Yoga meaningfully improves how your body handles blood sugar, stress and blood pressure as part of a programme with food and sleep. It does not replace your prescribed medication, and we will never ask you to stop it.
Yoga se bimari kaise theek hoti hai — how does it actually work?
Through mechanisms, not magic: slow exhalation activates the vagus nerve and shifts your nervous system out of stress mode; postures build the strength and alignment your pain is caused by lacking; weight-bearing loads bone; movement makes muscle take up glucose. Each of those is measurable. That is why we explain it rather than mystify it.
How many days a week should I practise?
Three classes a week with a short daily home practice beats five classes and nothing in between. Fifteen minutes daily is more useful than ninety minutes once a week.
Should I do yoga on an empty stomach?
Yes — ideally early morning, or at least two to three hours after eating. Practising on a full stomach makes twists, forward bends and breathing uncomfortable and can worsen acidity.
Do I need to bring my own mat?
No. Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and chairs are provided. Bring your own if you prefer.
Is there a female yoga teacher available?
Yes — for group classes, one-to-one, home visits and prenatal sessions. Just ask when you register.
Do you teach pranayama and meditation too, or only asana?
Both. Pranayama is part of every class, and we run separate meditation and dhyan classes in Jaipur for people who want to go further into the stillness side.
Is there a refund if I stop attending?
No. We do not have a refund policy, and we would rather you know that before registering than after.
